The closer the printing conditions when the silk screen printing ink is used for color matching and the printing conditions when the printing factory uses the ink for printing, the higher the accuracy of the transferred silk screen printing ink. This is our ideal situation, but in the actual process, there will be more or less deviation.
The toner accuracy of silk screen printing ink is affected by the following aspects
(1) Printing mode
(2) Edition depth
(3) Viscosity
(4) Printing materials
Due to the limitation of conditions, as long as these four parts are well controlled, the toner accuracy of silk screen printing ink can be greatly improved.
We need to improve the color matching accuracy of the following four inks
1. Printing method: most of the silk screen printing inks are small printing machines imported from Britain. The mesh of this machine is on the flat plate, and the printing is completed by moving the printing film with the round embossing roller. The machine of the printing factory is in the round embossing method, and the mesh is on the rotating circumferential roller. There are great differences in the number of lines and angles between the two kinds of meshes, which makes the same ink have great differences in the two printing methods. Sometimes it is not only the problem of dark and light color, but also the effect of hue and lightness. Some small factories use ink scraping sticks to match samples, which is even worse. Using the proofing machine of the plate making factory to control the color, the effect will be much better than that of the imported small printing machine, but the price is almost the same. This proofing machine can make the same plate as the printing factory, and can design different levels and depths of printing patterns according to the needs, which makes the printing method basically the same as that of the printing brush factory, and an important factor affecting the hue - printing plate, It is also the same as that of the printing factory.
2. Plate depth: different prints have different plate depth. The understanding or estimation of the plate depth used by silk screen printing ink also affects the accuracy of color matching. Obviously, if the screen printing ink is used for color matching, 45 μ M deep plate printing, while the customer's plate is far less than 45 μ M, the printed color will become lighter, otherwise, it will become darker. Some people think that the ink is adjusted according to the standard ink control provided by the user, and the version depth does not have to be considered. In fact, this is a theoretical view, but not in practice. From theory, as like as two peas (two cups of ink are divided into two parts), the color is uniform in both the deep and shallow (all the same conditions). But in the as like as two peas, it is impossible to mix the same ink, so there is always such a phenomenon. Sometimes, the color of the light version is closer (which can meet the customer's requirements), but if the deep version is printed, the color is much worse, so it is very important to master the depth of the version. How deep the customer's version is, we must use how deep the version is to print the color.
3. Viscosity: the printing viscosity of the color matching of silk screen printing ink should be consistent with the printing viscosity of the printing factory when printing this ink. The farther the difference between the two is, the greater the color difference will eventually be. The toner of silk screen printing ink is 22s, while the customer uses 35S. At this time, the color must be much darker, on the contrary, much lighter. Some silk screen printing inks do not pay much attention to this problem and do not consider the use viscosity of the printing factory. They always compare the customer's standard samples (including ink samples and printing samples) with a unified viscosity, resulting in large color difference.
4. Printing materials: the materials used in the color matching of silk screen printing ink are different from those of the printing factory (including other processes), which will also cause large color difference. Some inks print another layer of white ink, the color will be closer to the customer's print, while others are the opposite. Some inks change little after compounding, but some change very much, such as some transparent colors. Therefore, when toner of silk screen printing inks, we must find out the process conditions of customers, including whether to print white ink base, what materials are compounded, and whether to polish.
In the process of color matching of silk screen printing ink, we must deal with the above four, and then we can better coordinate with the paint oil color matching software to adjust the accurate color.
