Injection molding is a molding method for industrial products, which can be divided into injection molding, molding and die-casting.
Plastic injection molding is a method of plastic products. The molten plastic is injected into the mold of plastic products by pressure, cooled and molded to obtain all kinds of plastic parts. There is a mechanical injection molding machine specially used for injection molding. At present, the most commonly used plastics are polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PA, polystyrene, etc.
Fundamentals of injection molding process:
● temperature, pressure, speed and cooling control
● adjustment of injection molding machine settings
● screw control setting
● multi-stage filling and multi-stage pressure maintaining control; Crystalline, amorphous and molecular / fiber orientation
● internal stress, cooling rate, plastic shrinkage
● rheology of Plastics: how plastics flow, flow and change viscosity, shear and molecular / fiber alignment
● gating system, cooling system and mold structure
Plastic products are widely used in daily life. Different application scenarios have specific requirements for them. An important parameter to measure plastic products is haze and transmittance. Different injection molding processes will change the haze and transmittance of products. In the production process, it is very necessary to have an efficient instrument for measuring haze!
Haze and transmittance
Haze is also known as turbidity. The degree of clarity of transparent or translucent materials is expressed as a percentage of the ratio of scattered luminous flux to luminous flux of transparent materials. Transmittance is expressed as a percentage of the ratio of the luminous flux of the material to the incident luminous flux.
Haze is the upper transmission light of wide-angle scattered light (scattered light with an angle of >± 2.5 ° in the integrating sphere), that is, all green parts in the integrating sphere in Figure 2 are higher than all red parts in the integrating sphere in Figure 1; Transmittance is the ratio of transmitted light (that is, all red parts in the integrating sphere in Figure 1) to incident light (that is, all blue light before passing through the sample)
Measuring instrument
The quality inspection of plastic products is quite strict. We understand the principles of haze and transmittance. What is the instrument for measuring these two parameters?
CHNSpec Hazemeter th-110 and CS-700 / 720 professionally detect screen haze, transmittance, clarity and other parameters, provide perfect measurement solutions, and customize products according to different needs of customers.
The instrument has the advantages of fast measurement, convenient operation and no preheating. The sample can be measured with one key at the test port and the result can be obtained in 2 seconds. Greatly improve the detection efficiency and better serve our users!
