Application of color matching instrument for paint

Paint blending is an important work in color printing process. How well this work is done is directly related to the printing quality of products. Because bright colors, good brightness and accurate hue are the basic requirements of color printing products. To achieve this requirement, we must first accurately allocate printing paint. Therefore, operators should master color knowledge and paint mixing technology.
(1) Care should be taken in color matching. Generally, small samples should be tested first to preliminarily obtain the quantity of color matching coatings, and then large samples should be prepared according to the results of small samples. First, adjust the secondary color and secondary color respectively in a small container.


(2) First add the main color (the color with large amount and low coloring power in the color matching), and then slowly and intermittently add the dark color (or color matching) with high dyeing power, and keep stirring to observe the change of color at any time.

(3) "From shallow to deep", especially when adding pigments with strong coloring power, avoid excessive.

(4) In color matching, there will be slight differences between the paint and the dried film. The colors of various coatings are generally lighter in wet film, and deepen when the coating is dry. Therefore, if the incoming sample is a dry sample, the color matching paint shall be measured and compared after drying; If the incoming sample is a wet sample, you can drop the sample into the color matching paint to observe whether the two colors are the same.

(5) The floating degree of the primary color in the multicolor paint and the change of the paint should be known in advance, especially the amino paint and perchloroethylene paint, which should be paid more attention to.

(6) When preparing multicolor coatings, coatings with the same properties should be selected to be mixed with each other, and the solvent system should also be miscible. Otherwise, due to the poor miscibility of the coatings, the quality will be affected, and even delamination, precipitation or gelation will occur, so they cannot be used.

(7) Because the color often has various color heads, if it is matched with green, the yellow with green head and the blue with yellow head are generally used; When matching purple red, blue with red head and red with blue head shall be adopted; When matching orange, red with yellow head and yellow with red head shall be adopted.
(8) When preparing gray, green and other multi-color paints, due to the preparation of a variety of pigments, the density and oil absorption of pigments are different, and phenomena such as "floating color" and "blooming" are likely to occur. At this time, a small amount of surfactant or leveling agent and anti floating color agent can be added as appropriate. As usual, 0.1% silicone oil is added to prevent and control. For various surfactants produced by foreign companies, it is necessary to distinguish the solvent system used, and the amount is generally 0.1% ~ 1%.

(9) Taking advantage of the slightly transparent characteristics of the color paint film, selecting a suitable background color can make the color of the finish paint more vivid than that of the original paint. This is a color generated after the superposition of the background color and the primary color according to the principle of natural light reflection and absorption. The coating engineering is called "transparent color". For example, yellow primer can make red more bright, gray primer can make red more red, regular blue primer can make black more black and bright, and water blue primer can make white more clean and innocent. Cream, pink, ivory, sky blue, white shall be used as primer, etc.
